Drs. H. Syaiful Amir, Ak, MBA – Chairman
Indonesian citizen, born in 1939. Commissioner of Bank Muamalat Indonesia since 2003. He earned his Master’s degree in Economic from University of Indonesia in 1971 and received his MBA degree from Institute of Management Studies in 1999.

He started his career as an employee at PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (PUSRI), a state round enterprise (1973–1982), then served as Finance and Commercial Director at PT Pupuk Kujang Persero (1982–1990).

He rejoined PT Pupuk Sriwijaya (PUSRI) Persero as Finance Director (1990 – 1995). Prior to his appointment as Commissioner of Bank Muamalat, he was the President Director of PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, Tbk. (1995–2001).

Mohammad Shamoon Chaudry - Member
A Pakistan citizen, He was born in Lahore Pakistan, 1968. Graduated with Distinction in London Business School as a British Chevening Scholarship student, he obtains Master degree in Finance specializing in Quantitative Finance, including Options & Future & Financial Engineering & Risk Management.

Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics & Physics in Ohio Wesleyan University, Ohio University and taking MBA degree specializing in Finance in Lahore University of Management Sciences, Pakistan with Dean’s Honor List. Right now, he is an investment advisor for Boubyan Bank, Kuwait.

For many years, he has experienced in working in financial business. He was a freelance consultant in a Financial and Business Development Specialist in Lahore, Pakistan. General Manager in Financial Services Group (FSG) and Secretary, Board of Directors Senior Financial Specialist, Vice President–Pakistan Equities Sales in ABN-AMRO ASIA INC., New York, USA, and Manager in Corporate Finance for First Capital Securities Corporation Limited in Lahore, Pakistan.

Matloob Ahmed Khan - Member
A Pakistan citizen, born in July 17th, 1945. He took his B.Com in 1965 and his MBA with Finance major in 1968. At present, he is a senior advisor to the management of ILIC with following major responsibilities: Board director of National Leasing & Investment Company, Khartoum, Sudan, a subsidiary of ILIC; Coordinate establishment of new leasing companies in several IDB member countries.

At present, Abu Dhabi, Indonesia and Saudi Arabia are on top of the list and he’s also a part of senior management committee.

He have been actively involved in delivering numerous Islamic banking training courses at Kuwait Finance House (In house training), Gulf Investment House (both in house and external), ILIC (in house and external) and several Kuwaiti major financial institutions like National Bank of Kuwait, Gulf Bank, Kuwait Real Estate Bank, Kuwait FX Dealers Association etc.
