Dr. Boediono, the Coordinating Minister for International Economics & Finance signed the tomb stone of
PT. Al Ijarah Indonesia Finance to officially mark the public opening of the company. The signing was witnessed by, from left to right, Dr. Alwi Shihab (Indonesian Presidential Envoy for Middle East Countries), Mr. Syaiful Amir (President Commissioners of ALIF), Mr. A.Riawan Amin (Chairman of Indonesian Islamic Bank Association and President Director of Bank Muamalat Indonesia), Mr. Fuad Al-Homoud (Vice President of International Leasing & Investment Company, Kuwait), Mr. Fuad Shehab (General Manager of Investment of Boubyan Bank, Kuwait), and Mr. Herbudhi S.Tomo (President Director of ALIF).

The Director of PT. Al-Ijarah Indonesia Finance, Farouk Abdullah Alwyni was giving his comments on the lecture delivered by Prof. Aymeric Chauprade, President of International Academy on Geopolitics in Paris in Le-Meridien Hotel , Jakarta on 24th March 2008. Mr. Farouk was one of the panelists assigned to comment from global investment perspective during this International Public Lecture on "The New Approach in Geopolitics and Its Implementation in Global Change" organized by Center for Indonesian Reform, a Jakarta-based NGO.
